HYPNOTHERAPY

WHY HYPNOTHERAPY?

Hypnotherapy is fast becoming the solution of choice for those suffering from debilitating fear, low self esteem, depression, feeling unworthy, exam nerves and mental blocks.  In fact anything that holds you back.

It offers solutions without drugs or medication.

Relaxation

WHY DOES IT WORK?

It teaches you that YOU are the key to your own well being.  By using self hypnosis you are able to gain acess to the parts of your body that are giving you warning signs and clear the blockage .

When our thought processes persist  with negative thought patterns, chemicals are secreted into our bodies and a thought repeated often creates pain, dis ease begging you to take notice.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO CREATE A CONNECTION BETWEEN YOUR MIND AND YOUR BODY?

Your body is your early warning system that something in your thinking is causing you distress, in the worst case scenario, not heeding the niggles, aches and pains can result in cancer

Ref: Book by my sister in law Anna Parkinson CHANGE YOUR MIND HEAL YOUR BODY.

HOW DO WE MAINTAIN A MIND BODY CONNECTION?

By using various meditation or mindfulness

Techniques

  • By ‘stilling’ the mind and becoming aware of our breathing, we access a state of stillness where we are totally in the present.
  • My teacher and mentor Thomas Budge describes it brilliantly in this sound byte , one of his broadcasts on Gay SA Radio.

IS HYPNOTHERAPY BETTER THAN PSYCHOTHERAPY AND COUNSELLING?

Hypnotherapy is quicker because it involves access to your subconscious .

What can take one session in Hypnotherapy could take  up to a year in psychotherapy.

WHY IS THIS SO

In deep trance, your critical analytical mind is asleep , so the desire to change thoughts and behaviour becomes paramount and with expert guidance from your therapist, blockage and fear fall away and hope and joy abide.

THE MIND CANNOT HOLD TWO OPPOSING THOUGHTS AT ONCE

One cannot feel fear and joy simultaneously, or indeed love and hate.

A thought repeated often will take root in your mind, breathing and positive affirmations maintain this calm and relaxed state.
